Over the past year, I've been moved by the amount of support and encouragement I've experienced within this small, yet growing, community of meat-based humans. While I was unsure of what would come from launching the Carnivore Wellness Community, I am pleased to have a tribe of deeply caring people to connect with on a weekly basis over our shared interest in navigating a carnivore lifestyle for the improvement of health in mind, body, and spirit.
Sharing More of My Personal Story
I love our weekly live zoom calls where everyone is able to join in and share their latest updates, ask questions, spark thoughtful discussion, and connect over our like-minded approach to health and wellness.
While I love to share my own stories and perspective in our meetings, I want the majority of our shared time together to be focused on you, the Carnivore Community Members, and all that is on your hearts and minds as it relates to our meaty way of eating. In taking time to highlight and discuss various aspects of my own personal experience with day-to-day carnivore living via (what will essentially be) blog posts, I will not only free up more time within meetings for community members to share, but will also foster a sense of openness and shared vulnerability which paves the way for more meaningful conversation.
I'll go ahead and start with the vulnerability piece: I'm nervous to share some of the finer details of my carnivore experiences by crafting blog posts for the world wide web, yet I know in my heart that we are meant to share our stories. It can feel daunting to speak our truth, but seeing ourselves reflected in each others' experiences is what draws us together with compassion and understanding. This is why I believe so strongly in the power of connecting with like-minded people in a supportive community.
This will be the Carnivore Wellness Community's Hub
In streamlining both functionality and costs associated with facilitating the Carnivore Wellness Community, I will be using Kit to host our information, updates, and posts. Removing the barriers of setting up, running, and maintaining a full-fledged website will make it easier and more straightforward to connect with you, the Carnivore Wellness Community members.
As always, feel free to reach out any time!
Your Carnivore Wellness Community Host,
Rebecca Blackstock
